1 roll of vacation photos.

Ken, on the walk up Cow Path Hill. 02830001 |
View towards Ben Nevis (probably obscured by closer hills and clouds) from Cow Path Hill. 02830002 |
Another view from Cow Path Hill. I liked the way the clouds hung around half-way up the hill. 02830003 |
Ken, walking down Cow Path Hill. There were lots of foxgloves. 02830004 |
On the pier, waiting for the boat. There was a boat ride up the loch, turning around at a small island where seals often sun themselves. It would be a very nice end to a very nice day. 02830005 |
On the boat, looking back towards Fort William. This was the same day we walked up Cow Path Hill - it turned sunnier and with no wind the water was glassy. Just the way I like it. 02830006 |
Our B&B, part way up the hill. It's the long, 1-story place just above the others on the shore road. Tigh Na Faigh - House of the Stag. It was a beautiful place with a beautiful view. Later, we got the opposite picture: a shot of the boat from the B&B. 02830007 |
We passed by a salmon farm on the way down the loch and the captain explained how it works. 02830008 |
Sun and clouds, and green-covered mountains. As we motored up the loch, an air force jet thundered down the loch not far above our heads. The sound was earsplitting - unfortunate, but mercifully short-lived. It happened twice, though. The pilots practice low-level flying between the mountains and hills. 02830009 |
Another view of clouds, blue sky, green hills, and blue loch. Ken (right) and strangers (left and middle) in the foreground. 02830010 |
Here is the seal sunning island. There is a seal in the water, and there are two or three on the right end of the island. 02830011 |
There's a seal on the island. They are really clumsy on land. Even more so than me. 02830012 |
A few seals - two in the shallow water, and two on the island. One was different from the others. 02830013 |
Another shot of those four seals. 02830014 |
At least one seal swimming, and the loch and hills behind, with blue sky and white fluffy clouds. 02830015 |
After we got back, we walked from the pier back to the B&B. Here's a picture on the way. You can see the landscape fading in the distance - each further hill is more faded than the closer one. I think there might even be a storm approaching and the furthest hills are not even visible. But, I don't think the storm arrived at Fort William. 02830016 |
The next day, we had to leave - but we saw the same boat going along the loch and took a picture of it from the B&B (since we already had a picture of the B&B from the boat). 02830017 |
Glasgow - a picture from the top of the big pedestrian mall down towards the River Clyde. It's the biggest, best pedestrian mall I've ever seen, and there's even more to it than this. 02830018 |
Ken with his dinner and my dinner, in a most interesting bar/restaurant in Glasgow: Waxy O'Connors. It used to be a church, and every part of it was made into a variety of rooms for pubs/restaurants. We walked past the old pipe organ to get into the basement where we ate. -- and the food and service was good :-) 02830019 |
